Spinners Bicycle Club
On hold for now... We're gearing up for a fun winter of riding. Last spring we rode some bike trails that were not too far and others that took an hour or so to get to, such as Claremont. We are hoping to do the same this winter, starting right away in January . We'd like to do close, such as Van Fleet and Flatwoods, then once or twice a month go farther afield, such as Wintergarden, a beautiful trail that can be as long or short as we want to ride. Sometimes we'll ride to drinks and lunch and others just pack a snack.
Some of the farther trail possibilities would be Tarpon Springs, Pinellas trail and possibly Celebration, and we'd like input on what people think. We'd like it to be that everyone who wants to can ride with us at least sometimes and so would like to factor in everyone's desire and abilities; we can plan some shorter rides and then longer rides, too, with that in mind.
We may do some "unorganized rides" earlier than January, based on opportunity and weather and, if so, will post on the website.
We wear helmets and would suggest that everyone does, but, of course, it's not required. Don, at one time in Michigan, was standing waiting for a light and just put his foot wrong and fell; without his helmet, he would have banged his head pretty hard.
Anyway, join us, we have fun, and safe travels back to your EP home!
